MAPS & DIRECTIONS to:  

Just east of the Intersection of Ill Rte 53 (Broadway) and Theodore Street, Joliet, IL

From I-355 or I-294:     South to I-55 South and proceed as indicated below:

IN GENERAL:

From I-55 SOUTHBOUND:  Take exit (mile marker) 269, Joliet Road (only goes one way.)  Stay on this road for about 3-4 miles; it will merge with Ill Rte 53.  Continue on 53 about 9 more miles to Theodore Street.  Turn left.

FROM I-55 NORTHBOUND:  Exit 267 onto Ill Rte 53 South.  Continue Southbound on Rte 53 for about 12 miles to Theodore St.  Same landmarks as below except parts about Joliet Rd.

FROM I-80: (NOT  RECOMMENDED, BECAUSE THIS WAY IT IS EASY TO GET LOST)  Exit #132, Illinois Route 53 North.   Remain on Illinois 53 about 3 miles.  You will see a McDonalds on your left. At that stoplight (Theodore St)  is the junction of Illinois Route 7, which turns left (west).  You turn right (east) onto Genstar Drive, which is the continuation of Theodore St on the east side of Illinois Rte 53.

DETAILS / LANDMARKS:

The exit at Joliet Road (partially shares a ramp from I-55 with the ramp to  Northbound I-355) and continue southwest on Joliet Road for 3+ miles.  Then you will come to junction with Illinois Rte 53.  After about 4 more miles you will see Lewis University on your right.  In about 3 ¼ miles more you will see Statesville Prison on your right.  After about 1 ¾ more miles past the prison, you will see a McDonalds that appears to be looming in the middle of the road.  There is a stoplight just before you get there-Theodore Street.   Turn left off southbound Route 53.  This puts you on Genstar Drive.

ONCE ON CAMPUS:

Turn left into an old industrial complex.  Pass a vacant guard shack after about 0.2 miles, then follow the road to the left (north) and note an office section on your right.  At the far (north) end of that section is a secondary entrance with signs for TLC Ingredients.
